Managing New Hampshire Ave Trash

One unfortunate byproduct of living so conveniently close to New Hampshire Avenue is that it accumulates trash from the thousands of vehicles which pass by every day. Our neighborhood cleanups have an impact, but we need your help. Please follow the directions below to submit a State Highway Service Request. A cleanup crew will respond within a few days. Thank you!

Step 1

Create new service request

Click here to create a new service request. The areas circled on the map to the left are the trash hot-spots. The northernmost section extends from 9710 to 9810 New Hampshire Avenue. The southern part is near Northampton Drive.

Step 2

Access website, select topic

Under "Topic" select "Debris, Litter, and Graffiti."

Step 3

Select Sub-Topic + Description

Under "Sub-Topic," select "Litter." Under "description" copy and paste this for northern section: "The entire length of the swale from 9710 New Hampshire to 9810 New Hampshire Southbound (west side of street) is strewn with lots of trash and construction debris." For southern section, copy and paste: "The hillside area adjacent to New Hampshire Avenue and Avenel Road near Northampton Drive, accumulates large amounts of trash."

Provide Location + Contact Information

Be sure to fill out all the drop-boxes (see image at right for N.H. Ave/Northampton Dr.) An email address or other contact information is required so you can monitor the progress of the request. A confirmation email is sent with a case # and you can check back periodically with this number. Thank you!
